Saif Ali Khan gets brutally trolled after an old video of him saying he can’t name his son Ram goes viral!
Saif Ali Khan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming action thriller ‘Vikram Vedha’ which also stars Hrithik Roshan. Pushkar-Gayatri’s directorial is touted to be one of the most highly awaited films of this year for obvious reasons. However just a few days ahead of its release, the hashtag Boycott Vikram Vedha is trending on Twitter due to an old video of Saif. In this viral clip, the Omkara actor stated that he could not name his son Ram, so thought why not keep a good Muslim name.
And, this statement of the actor has miffed a certain section of people on social media as they brutally trolled Saif. In an interview with a news channel, the actor said, “I can’t name my son Alexander or realistically can’t name him Ram. So, I thought why not keep a good Muslim name and hopefully bring up with secular values so that they respect and love each other.”
A video of the same has taken social media by storm with netizens lashing out at the actor. Reacting to it, one user commented, “Bollywood movies are boycotted these days due to these kinds of statements. In the wake of Saif’s this old statement, several netizens have started a hate campaign against his film Vikram Vedha asking people to boycott it. Some also expressed their dismay over the film being remade in Bollywood and called it a cheap copy.
Also starring Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf, and Yogita Bihani, ‘Vikram Vedha' is slated to release this Friday, on 30 September.
