Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma starrer Roohi finally released in theatres yesterday i.e. on 11th March. The movie is receiving mixed response from the audience. As many already know, Roohi is one of the first films from Bollywood to release in the cinema halls amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans cannot stop praising Janhvi Kapoor's performance in the film. Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma also delivered a smashing performance.

Film critic Taran Adarsh recently took to his Instagram account and updated fans about the film's box office scene. Sharing a still from the movie, he wrote, "#Roohi springs a pleasant surprise on Day 1, despire #Covid pandemic... #Mahashivratri holiday proves advantageous... National multiplexes contribute maximum [approx ₹ 1.89 cr], while Tier-2 cities show decent footfalls... Thu ₹ 3.06 cr. #India biz."

Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma have been leaving no stone unturned to promote their film. Earlier, in an interview with us, Janhvi explained why she is risking COVID to promote her film. The actress said, "We are asking people to come to the theatre to see Roohi. If we ask them to do so while sitting at home, why would they listen to our request? Covid is not going away anywhere. We have to continue with our lives while taking all necessary precautions."

Also, many are comparing Roohi with Stree. Earlier, talking about the comparisons, Rajkummar Rao said that it is totally unfair to his new film. The actor added that the firsts are always special. However, Roohi and Stree are different films with new characters. "I hope people don't feel 'let's see what's common between Roohi and Stree'. I hope they see it as an independent film," he added.
