Rohit Shetty To Present 8-Episode Cop Thriller Series, Initiates Talks With Vicky Kaushal, Sidharth Malhotra And Tiger Shroff
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is popular for his Cop drama movies, Singham and Simmba. While these two movies have entertained the audience in the gone by years, his yet another film Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif is waiting to release in cinemas. As he nears the wrap up of his next titled Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh and Pooja Hegde, as per reports in Mid-Day, the filmmaker will be treating his online viewers with 8-episode web series on Amazon Prime Video.

This too is a cop drama to be helmed by one of his assistant directors Sushwanth Prakash. Prakash has worked with Rohit Shetty and his team for years now. Son of National Award-winning choreographers Rekha and Chinni Prakash, will have Rohit backing this venture. Rohit who is left to finish 10 days of work on Cirkus, has already started working on this cop thriller meant for the digital platform. Sushwanth Prakash had directed a short film, CopyCat released in 2015.

The report in the said publication states, “Sushwanth has been part of Rohit’s team for many years. The filmmaker, in his maiden digital offering, will serve as the creator and showrunner. With only 10 days’ work remaining on Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus, Rohit has started working on the cop thriller with his team of writers. The story is said to be inspired by true events."


Rohit Shetty who is reported to have a word with Vicky Kaushal, Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff, is likely to freeze the leading man for this series in the forthcoming weeks. The project is likely to go on floors in December and the filmmaker is in no rush to announce it soon. It is also speculated he might announce it post the release of his much-awaited movie, Sooryavanshi.

The report carries, “They are Rohit’s top choices for the role as the material demands an actor who is adept at action. If all goes well, the actioner will roll by December.
