Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma has filed a complaint to Mumbai Police after she was robbed by her house help. As per reports, a house help, aged 30 years, has been arrested for allegedly stealing diamond jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh from Arpita Khan's residence in Mumbai. The accused named Sandip Hedge, who hails from the Ambewadi slums in Vile Parle East, used to work at Arpita’s house as a house help.

On May 16, Sandip was allegedly charged for stealing Arpita’s diamond stud earrings, which were said to be kept in the make-up tray. On checking, Arpita found they were missing. The senior inspector Mohan Mane of Khar Police arrested the accused with his team members. Sandeep was kept in police custody for interrogation and has been booked under Section 381 of the Indian Penal Code. Reportedly, Sandeep was working in Arpita’s house along with 11 other staff members for the past four months. After committing robbery, he flee from the apartment but cops nabbed him and recovered the earrings from Sandip’s house. His house was searched after Arpita lodged a complaint about her missing diamond earrings. 

A few days ago, Sonam Kapoor’s house was also robbed by her house help. The jewelry worth more than Rs 1 crore, including 100 diamonds, six gold chains, diamond bangles, a diamond bracelet, two tops, one brass coin, a Hyundai i10 car, and cash were stolen from Sonam and husband Anand Ahuja's Amrita Shergill Road residence by a nurse and her husband.
