Rishi Kapoor Passes Away: Rishi, Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan Hug And Sing Like A Bunch Of Excited Boys; Ekta Kapoor Says They Will 'Never Party Again'
Rishi Kapoor passed away this morning and left everyone heartbroken. As everyone is in disbelief and is in mourning over his death, Ekta Kapoor shared a throwback picture along with a video of Rishi, Jeetendra, Rakesh Roshan hugging and singing that simply made us nostalgic while her captioned filled our hearts with grief
Rishi Kapoor who was diagnosed with cancer almost a year ago, travelled to New York for his treatment and returned to India just a while ago is no more. At the age of 67, Ranbir Kapoor’s father has left us after bravely fighting it with cancer. Reportedly, his cancer relapsed and was hospitalized yesterday. As everyone is in disbelief and mourning over his death, Ekta Kapoor shared that post of the veteran star that simply made us nostalgic and her captioned filled our hearts with grief.
In the throwback picture, we see young Rishi Kapoor with Neetu Kapoor along with Rakesh Roshan, Prem Chopra and Ekta Kapoor’s father Jeetendra where they all are seen in a happy and jovial mood which appears to be from a party. Ekta also shared a few photos of their older self where they are seen posing for a click while flashing their warm smiles. As she shared those photos and videos on her Instagram feed, she also mentioned that ‘they will never party again’ as her caption reads, “They will never party again like this! Goodbye uncle and actor par excellence!!#riprishikapoor”
After his death, an official statement was released, titled ‘A message from Rishi Kapoor’s family’ which read, “Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45 am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last. He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents.”
After the sad news broke in, many Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Akshay Kumar, Aamir Khan, Rajinikanth, Vicky Kaushal, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra and many more along with TV celebs like Karishma Tanna, Rashami Desai, Asim Riaz, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, to name a few took to their social media handles and send condolences to his family. Meanwhile, post his cancer treatment, Rishi Kapoor was last seen in Emraan Hashmi’s The Body and had recently announced his next project, a remake of Hollywood film The Intern, also featuring Deepika Padukone.
