Rishi Kapoor Hopes To Be Home For Ganpati Celebrations, Can't Wait To Eat His Favourite Foods

It’s been a while that Rishi Kapoor has been in New York. Away from home, he is undergoing treatment for cancer. Reports had it that he has gone to New York to seek treatment for some disease, however, it was recently that the veteran actor revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer. Now that he has been declared cancer-free, Rishi Kapoor can’t wait to be back home. Quite a few times he has expressed the desire to be back home and Ganpati celebrations could be the reason he takes a flight and lands in India.

 Kapoors celebrate Ganpati with much fanfare. It has been a tradition for ages that Kapoors get Ganapati idol home for celebrations. Now, Rishi Kapoor quoted to Mid-day that he may be home to celebrate the festival. “Celebrating Ganpati is a family tradition. So, I am hoping to be part of it,” he said. He also mentioned about how he misses homemade chappatis and pomfret. The star couldn’t be in India for his mother Krishna Kapoor’s funeral, but we hope, he gets back to his roots soon.

The veteran star may have been away from home for a while, however, he has been always surrounded by the people he knows. Many film stars including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Aishwarya Rai, Anupam Kher, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, and others have paid him in a visit in the States. The most frequent ones have been his star son Ranbir Kapoor and his girlfriend Alia Bhatt. The Kapoors have openly accepted their son's relationship with Miss Bhatt and now we all are expecting them to tie the knot soon. Let’s wait and watch.
