Rishi Kapoor Expresses Regret In His Tweet, Of Being Unable To Work With Shabana Azmi

Thanking Shabana Azmi for her birthday wish, Rishi Kapoor expressed regret on being unable to work with her in many films. The actor also thanked her for encouraging him. Rishi Kapoor turned 67 just last week. He is still in New York though his cancer treatment is over, both Rishi and Neetu will be back next week

Rishi Kapoor Expresses Regret In His Tweet, Of Being Unable To Work With Shabana Azmi
Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor has been in the headlines for turning a year older on September 4. Though it’s been 2 days post his birthday, wishes are still pouring in. The actor is currently in New York after completion of his cancer treatment but was in the US for past one year now. On his birthday his co-star of some movies Shabana Azmi too wished him on the social media platform. She tweeted, “@chintskap salgirah mubarak dear friend . Jaldi wapas aa jao.. bahut saara pyar”



The actor replied to everyone who wished him and hence he did not miss replying to Shabana as well.  Rishi in his tweet expressed regret of being unable to work with her in many more films whom he considers an ace artiste. He mentioned how he and his wife Neetu are great admirers of her and her husband Javed Akhtar. The veteran actress had also written in her Tweet of asking Rishi to return soon to the bay, to which he replied he will be back soon.

His Tweet read, “What a wonderful actor! What a shame never got to work a lot more! Thank you Shabana Azmi Ji for always encouraging me. Both Neetu and me are great admirers of you and Javed sahab. According to several reports, the actor was hoping to be back in town for the ongoing Ganesh festival, but unfortunately couldn’t make it. Though the latest is that both Rishi and Neetu will be back next week. Also during his recent media interaction, he revealed how his contemporaries Jeetendra and Rakesh Roshan never got their dues despite marvellous work on the celluloid.

Born on September 4, 1952, he turned 67 this year.  Rishi was last seen in Jhootha Kahin Ka.
