Rhea was first sent to judicial custody of 14 days which later was extended. It was recently reported that Jalebi actress’ custody was extended till October 20.
Before granting bail to Rhea, Bombay HC imposed a few conditions on her release and here we bring it to you. According to a report in NDTV, Rhea should mark herself present for 10 days in the nearest police station. After release she should deposit her passport and should not travel outside the country without the prior permission of the High Court or the court. If she plans to leave Mumbai, she should inform the investigating officer. Rhea has to pay a surety of Rs 1 Lac. On the other hand, Rhea’s lawyer Satish has sought time to furnish the amount of bail bond.
Republic quotes Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde saying, “We are Delighted by the Order of the Honourable Bombay High Court granting bail to Rhea Chakraborty. Truth and Justice have prevailed and ultimately the submissions on facts and law have been accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwal. The arrest and custody of Rhea was totally unwarranted and beyond the reach of law. The hounding and witch hunt by three central agencies .. the CBI , ED and NCB of Rhea should come to an end. We remain committed to Truth. Satyamev Jayate ”
