Reboot To Sanjay Dutt-Pooja Bhatt's Lovestory, Sadak 2, Gets A New Release Date

Sanjay Dutt fought against all odds, 27 years ago, to win Pooja Bhatt’s love in Sadak (1991) and it left viewers wanting for more. The film went on to become the highest grossing Hindi movie of that year and its songs still continue to resonate with the audiences today.

Now, Vishesh Films is all set to begin working on the sequel of the blockbuster. Earlier it was slated that the film will be hitting theatres on August 31, but now it's official that the film has been pushed to next year. It will release on November 15, 2019.

Trade expert Taran Adarsh took to social media to announce the new date. He wrote, "IT'S OFFICIAL... #Sadak2 to release on 15 Nov 2019... Lead cast and other details will be announced shortly... Produced by Mukesh Bhatt... Mahesh Bhatt in association with Vishesh Films present the film (sic)."

While there has been no confirmation about the cast, it had been previously reported that Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt will come back together to play a small part in the sequel. They were to be joined by Alia Bhatt, who is said to be playing Dutt's daughter in the film.

There were also hushed rumours saying that Sidharth Malhotra was to be Alia's love interest in the film, but the way things stand, we're not sure which way the casting of Sadak 2 is headed. Considering Alia is now busy with the 3-part Brahmastra franchise and she has also broken-up with Sidharth, it seems quite unlikely that the two will be back onscreen as a couple for the flick.

With so many names floating, let's wait for an official announcement from the makers. Stay hooked onto SpotboyE.com.
