Raveena Tandon on TKSS reveals how she bagged her debut film 'Patthar Ke Phool' opposite Salman Khan
Raveena Tandon is an actor par excellence with many outstanding performances to her credit. The actress made her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in the 1991 released film ‘Patthar Ke Phool.’ During her recent appearance on the comedy show Kapil Sharma Show', Raveena revealed how she got her first major role as she recalled her past days. The Mohra actress reflected back and said during her visit to an eatery shop in Mumbai, she saw Vivek Vaswani and Anant Balani sitting nearby, discussing the heroine for Salman Khan's second film.
When the host Kapil asked Raveena about her debut film and asked how she bagged the project, the actress narrated an old incident from her college days. She shared, “One day, while we were there, I saw Vivek Vaswani and Anant Balani sitting nearby. They were discussing the heroine for Salman Khan's second film and Anant pointed towards me and asked Vivek to talk to me. Vivek didn't recognise me, but I recognised him as he is my brother's friend and I told him the same when he asked my name. Raveena added, “Simultaneously, I was interning with Prahlad Kakkar and assisting him in shoots. Whenever there was no model available, he would make me stand in for free. During one of these shoots in Bandra, Bunty Walia noticed me, told Salman I would be perfect for films, and brought Salman to meet me.” She further revealed that the Sultan actor did not personally met her but he noticed her from a distance. Later, Raveena’s father received a call from Salim Khan and that's how she got the opportunity. “You know how destiny works, what's written in it will always happen," Raveena asserted.
On the show, the Dilwale actress also roasted Kapil over his looks. When the comedian hung his head in shame, she planted a kiss on his cheeks. Raveena graced Sunday’s episode of the show along with Guneet Monga and Sudha Murthy.
Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon will next be seen in the upcoming film titled ‘Patna Shukla. She also has a romantic comedy ‘Gudchadhi’ with Sanjay Dutt in the pipeline.
