Rati Agnihotri Patches Up With Her Husband Anil
In April this year, Rati Agnihotri's revelation that husband Anil Virwani abused her for 30 years sent shock waves across the industry and beyond. It was hard to come to terms with the fact that the always-smiling Rati was a victim of domestic abuse for such a long period of time.

The actress not only walked out of the house and filed a police complaint in Worli but also spoke at length about the traumatic time that she went through in her married life. While Anil vehemently denied assaulting her, the duo was still headed for a divorce.

However, in a recent development that took place last week, it is learnt that Rati is back with Anil. She has chosen to not dwell on the past but what lies ahead for them. While they would consciously avoid each other earlier even in the confines of their own home, it is no longer the case.

Confirming this, Anil told SpotboyE.com, "Yes, things have become much better. Now, none of us wants to focus on the bitterness. It is behind us and we're back to our happy selves. I've known Rati for 33 years and that is a lot of time....you don't part ways just like that."

Obviously, they are not pursuing their divorce anymore. "There is no question of a separation," he emphasised.

When probed on what brought them together when their marriage was collapsing, he said, "There was just this one moment when we both realised that we need each other. It was one split second and things just became normal. I think it is our love for Tanuj that made a big difference. He's only begun his career and as parents, we want to be there for him."

Did any common friends help in getting them back together? "Friends were always there and they were overjoyed to know we were back together. Now the important thing is to sustain our relationship for several more years to come. And yes, we are optimistic about it," he said.

Confirming this sequence of events, Tanuj told us, "I am very glad that my parents are trying to work things out and have reached some sort of stability. I've spoken to them individually and told them that there is no point being together if you are not happy and at the same time there isn't any point to be separate and be unhappy...so there is a grey area there. They have been together before I was even thought of, so they obviously know each other well enough. I am just being there for them as my equation remains unchanged."
