Pan-Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna has been making a mark in the Indian film industry with her beauty and versatile performances. Currently enjoying the success of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, she is busy shooting for her upcoming movie Pushpa 2: The Rule, alongside Allu Arjun. Having been termed the National Crush, she enjoys a huge social media fan following. Now, she has opened up about the evolution of the term and how she feels its special.

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Rashmika candidly reflected on being hailed as the national crush. She expressed that it is the love and acceptance of her audience as she doesn’t know if a lot of people get it. Stating that she is conscious of it, she adds, “I have not been like, 'Okay, I'm getting it because I deserve it.' No, it's like there is some connection between us. There is some bond that has been created between us. The 27-year-old actress went on to shed light on the evolution of the endearing title. Reminiscing that the journey started from Kirik Party, where she was called a crush, it further grew to be Karnataka crush, then to South India crush, and now the National crush. The Geetha Govindam actress added, “So, there's been a little growth and journey with itself. But it's special, and I feel like as long as my family or audience want me here, I'm going to be happy.
