Ranvir Shorey: I Have Witnessed Domestic Violence In Real Life

Ranvir Shorey is all set for the release of his next film Titli, based on patriarchy and violence in family. The actor who is known for doing mainly offbeat roles has been earning a lot of praise for this film. The movie, produced by Dibakar Banerjee, has been winning accolades all across the globe at various film festivals.

We caught up with Ranvir at a recent press event, where he opened up as to why he decided to take up this film.

"I have witnessed domestic violence in real life," says Ranvir. He goes on to inform that the film is not just an international film, as families are same everywhere across the globe, and therefore the story is very much relevant for Indian audiences.

According to the Ugly Aur Pagli actor, there is no need for raising the hand while bringing up a child, however many times we forget that. Such an act can scar a child for life and start running in the future generations.

Seems like quite a noble concept. The film, directed by Kanu Behl, also stars Shashank Arora, Amit Sial, Lalit Behl, Prashant Singh and Shivani Raghuvanshi in lead roles.
