He revealed Deepika is from Bengaluru and he is from Mumbai, hence they decided to visit holy shrines in North as well as South India.
He said, “Basically, Deepika and I thought we should do something special on our first anniversary. As you know, our life is similar to 2 States. Her family is from Bengaluru, mine is from Mumbai. So we thought since it's our first anniversary, why don't we visit both places. We went to Golden Temple in Amritsar but before that, we visited the temple seen in the picture, which is Tirupati temple.” Known for his epic sense of humour, he termed himself, as ‘husband of the century’ as he guessed the temple shown in the picture is none other than the Tirupati temple.
Funnily he added, “Obviously I should know otherwise I'll get a lappad (slap) when I get back home.” As per reports in the media, the two dated for two years before they took the rounds of the holy fire.
Ranveer and Deepika’s wedding had two wedding ceremonies- South Indian and Sindhi, these ceremonies were followed by the couple hosting receptions for their family and friends.
