Ranveer Singh In Simmba’s Aankh Marey Or Arshad Warsi In The 1996 Version- Whose Wooing Style Is Your Favourite?
A while back, makers of Simmba released the recreated version of Arshad Warsi’s ‘90s hit, Aankh Marey. Comparisons between the two are obvious to happen. So, tell us which version is your favourite?
If you’re a ‘90s kid, then grooving to Tere Mere Sapne’s Aankh Marey, starring Arshad Warsi would be a fond memory. And for those who are of this decade, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan have got you covered as they show some ultimate moves in the recreated version of the peppy number from Tere Mere Sapne (1996).
Ranveer and Sara, colour-coordinated in black, have danced their hearts out in the new version of the song, just the way Arshad Warsi took everyone by a surprise with his energetic moves and effortless dancing style in the original. While one has modern day vibes and beats, other has the old-school charm. Watch - Simmba Song Aankh Marey
The recreated version has a peppy background with pop of neon colours, and the original was filmed on Mumbai streets with taxis as the backdrop. Which one is your favourite though? Well, why don’t you play the songs (link below) one more time and decide?
Simmba’s version also has Karan Johar’s cameo. What more? Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal actors Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sheryas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu are also a part of it hinting at Golmaal 5 in the end of the song.
Talking about Simmba, at the trailer launch, Ranveer Singh won hearts with his energetic entry and also his candid statements. And about the two versions, well as much as we loved the original track from Tere Mere Sapne, Ranveer and Sara’s version is equally gripping and foot-tapping. This one will be tough to decide. Isn’t it?
