Randeep Hooda Was About To Opt For Surrogacy, But His Dad Made Him Change His Mind
Surrogacy is the latest cool in our country and the credit goes to our beloved Bollywood celebs for shunning the taboo around it. Many B-Town stars have opted for the technology to enjoy parenthood and this has encouraged more people about it. From superstar Shah Rukh Khan to actress Lisa Ray many have taken the surrogacy route to have a kid. The newest entry to this group would be actor Randeep Hooda.

Following the trend, Randeep Hooda too wants to join the single parents’ league though surrogacy. In an interview with Hindustan Times the actor said, “I thought about having my own child through surrogacy. I even discussed this with my parents and they were okay with this thought and idea.” However, the actor’s father alerted him about one factor which made Randeep reconsider his decision. “My dad said, ‘Beta, bachhon ko maa ki zaroorat hoti hai (a child needs a mother). How are you going to manage that? Do you want your child to be deprived of a mother?’ I said ‘No’. I would rather wait for the right time to get married and have a child, who would get both parents to love him/her,” said the 42-year-old actor.

Being a eligible bachelor Randeep admits that his parents constantly ask him to get married and settle down. They never leave an opportunity to show him pictures of girls who have sent a marriage proposal. “Oh yes, my parents put that pressure all the time. My mom sneakily shows me the pictures of girls who have sent marriage proposals, though I don’t think it is going to happen anytime soon (laughs), but then, you never know what happens next, “ shared Randeep.

On the work front, the actor is busy preparing for filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s next, Love Aaj Kal 2 where he will be sharing screen space with Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan. The actor reveals that right now he is happily in a relationship with his work and social life. “With acting, my life is complete. I’m in a relationship with my work and my love for animals and social work are just an extension to my personality. I’m very involved in it and all these require my complete attention.”
