During the interview, Ranbir recalled the intense and frequent conflicts between his parents. Their relationship was rocky, and the constant fighting left a lasting impression on young Ranbir. He vividly described how he would sit on the staircase, listening to their arguments, feeling disturbed and helpless. This experience was particularly harrowing because his sister had moved out to pursue higher studies, leaving him alone to witness these unsettling events. Ranbir's words poignantly captured his distress: "I would sit on the staircase and hear them fight, it disturbed me." ALSO READ: WHAT? Ranbir further elaborated on how these early experiences have shaped his present-day sensitivities. Loud noises and raised voices still unsettle him, a direct consequence of the fear and anxiety he felt during his parents' fights. "Anybody who speaks in a louder tone, it disturbs me, since childhood. My parents went through a lot of fights. We lived in a bungalow, so I have spent most of my childhood on the staircases, hearing them fight. I was always scared and on the edge," he shared.

Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor's marriage, which began on January 22, 1980, endured for 40 years and was marked by numerous ups and downs. Despite their turbulent relationship, they eventually found a way to resolve their differences and developed a deep affection for each other. This transformation was particularly evident when Rishi was diagnosed with cancer. Neetu's unwavering support and selfless care for her husband left a profound impact on Ranbir. He expressed his admiration for his mother's devotion, saying, "I saw the selfless service my mother was doing for him and that kind of love was something which I probably at that time couldn't have imagined."

Ranbir also reflected on the complex dynamics of his relationship with his father. There was always a sense of distance between them. Although Rishi Kapoor never shouted at him and was fundamentally a good person, his short temper created a barrier between father and son. Ranbir admitted that he often felt afraid of his father, choosing to acquiesce to his wishes rather than expressing his own feelings. "I used to fear my father and always bowed before him and agreed to everything that he said," he revealed.

These personal reflections provide a deeper understanding of Ranbir Kapoor's life beyond his successful career. They highlight the challenges he faced growing up in a household marked by conflict and the enduring impact of those experiences on his emotional well-being. Despite these challenges, Ranbir has managed to carve out a successful career and continues to navigate his personal journey with resilience and introspection.
