Over the years, Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been subjected to a lot of negativity and criticism from internet trolls for being toxic towards his female co-stars and especially his wife Alia Bhatt. Often time clips from his interviews and interactions go viral, where he comes across as misogynistic. Recently, the actress’ controversial lipstick comment had gone viral which had enraged the netizens. They proceeded to call him every nasty name. Now, the actor has opened up about how he deals with all the negativity.

Opening up about the same, during a Zoom interaction with his fans he explained how negativity is really important as it creates a balance. Ranbir explained how he is not on social media so he doesn’t need to deal with all the negativity. He shares how as an artist negativity is as important as the work one does and criticism needs to exist to create a balance. ALSO READ: OMG! Quoted by News18, he added, “You know sometimes a lot of things are written about you as an actor, a lot of opinions are made which are not necessarily true and if you take it for a pinch of salt because I this image of mine which has been created by the movies or the characters I play or by media is something that I don’t own. He recalled reading an article where he was dubbed as toxic sue some of his comments in the past. The 41-year-old actor expressed how he is on the side of people fighting toxic masculinity. He adds, “If they use me as the face of it, it’s fine because their fight is bigger than just me feeling bad about them having an opinion about what I said.”

For the unversed, having tied the knot in April 2022 in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family, Alia and Ranbir are currently enjoying one of the best phases of their lives. They announced their first pregnancy in June 2022 and welcomed their baby daughter Raha in November 2022. 

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Animal, co-starring Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.
