Ranbir Kapoor & Katrina Kaif To Come Face-To-Face Tonight

In a few hours from now, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif will head to Film City to shoot the last leg of Jagga Jasoos. It wouldn’t be easy for the former lovers to be around each other, but kya karein?

The schedule, which will last 3 days, was initially supposed to begin day before yesterday, but Ranbir postponed it stating that he is occupied with the Dutt biopic.

While Anurag (Basu, the director) is known to shoot and re-shoot portions of his films, we wonder if the sequence to be shot this evening would look remarkably different from film considering Ranbir has piled on oodles of weight for Sanjay Dutt’s biopic.

Jagga Jasoos is co-produced by Anurag Basu, Ranbir Kapoor and Disney UTV and, we hear, the makers are thinking of a September release as the previous dates were clashing with Katrina's appearance for the brand that she will be endorsing at Cannes Film Festival.

Basu’s practice (of sorts) to repeatedly shoot parts of the film has delayed it on various counts.

A source close to Basu, however, said, "Basu always shoots and reshoots. This is not the first time he's doing that, but yes the delay this time has gone beyond one's imagination."

It may be recalled that Basu had told a section of the media: "I think time doesn’t matter. If a film has to work, than it will work anytime. If we have made it well, then it will definitely be a hit irrespective of the delay in its release. If it’s not made well than it would have flopped even when it was released without delay."

At the time of going online, another source said, "But you never know, the wait could prove to be worth it. Basu, Ranbir & Katrina have left no stone unturned in making this film and it has turned out very well."

Well, looking at the pace at which the project is going, we hope this is indeed the ‘final’ leg.
