Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra To Take-Over Christmas Slot Left Vacant By Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha?
With the Coronavirus pandemic reaching to its peak in India, the possibilities of us resuming our normal lives has only gotten skeptical. Well, that also makes our wait to see Bollywood films in theatres, amid jam-packed audiences, a bit longer. The functioning of Bollywood won't be the same after this, as a lot of films have been postponed, while many of them are eyeing OTT platforms for release. Something former is, reportedly, also the case of Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, which was slated to release on Christmas this year. However, with two-fifth of its portion yet to be shot, there are chances that the biggie might just shift to some other date.

Now, as per a report in Pinkvilla, the makers of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's Brahmastra are keen on utilising this opportunity and release their film on Christmas this year. A source told the portal, "Brahmastra is almost complete. Only a few days of patchwork remain which will be wrapped up immediately after the lockdown opens and the Government allows shoots to resume. The team has been simultaneously working on the post-production given that it's a VFX heavy project. They had locked December 4, 2020, as their release date, but that was also because they didn't want to clash with Aamir at the theatres."

"Now, with Laal Singh, Chaddha pushed to next year, it gives them a clear window during the holiday period and they are looking at it now. The film has been mounted on a lavish scale so a holiday period also means better box office prospects. They won't announce it yet, they have first decided to wait it out to see how the situation is before making it official. But it's an idea they are toying with right now," they added.

Earlier, we reported how the makers of Salman Khan's Radhe and Akshay Kumar's Sooryavanshi are now eyeing on the Diwali slot, as the release of both their films have been pushed ahead due to the Coronavirus lockdown. Well, who would have thought that we would ever face such a crisis in the film industry?
