As per latest online reports, filmmaker Madhu Mantena is looking forward to rope in South sensation Mahesh Babu as Lord Ram in Ramayan 3D opposite Deepika Padukone
Bollywood fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcement of one of the most anticipated magnum opus, Ramayan 3D. The film, which will be helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan in the lead roles. Earlier it’s been reported that the makers of Ramayan 3D have roped in Roshan to play Lord Ram in the 300-crore budget film while DP will portray the role of Sita. However later, reports were abuzz that Hrithik Roshan will play Raavan instead of Lord Ram in the film.
Now here’s the latest update about the film. As per latest online reports, filmmaker Madhu Mantena is looking forward to rope in South sensation Mahesh Babu as Lord Ram in Ramayan 3D. The latest reports state that Madhu Mantena has approached Mahesh Babu to play Ram. The south superstar has liked the script and he’s most likely to come on board.
A source close to the development revealed to Bollywood Hungama, “Madhu got the biggest shock when Om announced Adipurush with Prabhas. He immediately got his team and financiers to bankroll his Ramayana and now, Hrithik has come on board as the villain. Deepika remains Sita and he wanted a big south face to play Lord Ram.”
The source further added, “Madhu has offered the film to Mahesh Babu who also liked the script. Madhu feels he has the innocence to pull off Shri Ram's character. Mahesh Babu, on the other hand, has liked the script but is yet to give his nod to the project. What also helps is Madhu who has a connection with KWAAN, has managed to get all the three top stars who are clients of the same agency."
