Kangana Ranaut once again grabbed attention for an explosive comment passed at senior actor Urmila Matondkar. In her interview with Times Now, Kangana called Urmila Matondkar a 'soft porn star' and grabbed a lot of eyeballs. Her comments left netizens furious as she received many hate comments. Urmila Matondkar too expressed shock and disappointment over Kangana's remarks. Now, it is filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma who has come out in support of the Rangeela star.

The director of the film Rangeela, RGV, took to his Twitter handle and wrote, "Not wanting to get into slanging matches with anyone, I believe that @UrmilaMatondkar has more than proved her versatile talent in enacting such diversely complex roles as in RANGEELA,SATYA,KAUN,BHOOT,EK HASEENA THI  etc ." He even shared the clip of Kangana's interview wherein she has passed the remark at Urmila Matondkar.

Earlier, reacting to Kangana's remark, Urmila quoted to NDTV, "Which girl from a civilized culture would use this kind of language to say ‘Kya ukhaad loge,’ all of these words speaking in this manner about a senior colleague like Jaya Bachchan ji. Is it all in good taste? Is it all in any kind of Indian culture. Which page of Indian culture teaches this?”


Stars like Pooja Bhatt, Swara Bhasker, Anubhav Sinha and more came out in support of the senior actor. However, the Manikarnika actress defended her remark and questioned why is being a soft porn star considered as derogatory giving an example of Sunny Leone.
