Rakesh Roshan underwent a surgery, a day back, as he was diagnosed with Throat Cancer. Now, the filmmaker has confirmed that he is feeling okay and is all set to get back home

Rakesh Roshan Speaks On His Surgery; Says, "I Will Be Back Home In 2-3 Days"
A few weeks back, ace filmmaker Rakesh Roshan was diagnosed with early stage of squamous cell carcinoma of the throat. His son, Hrithik Roshan, informed about the same two days back- the day of Sr. Roshan went into surgery. Yesterday, Hrithik even tweeted about the status of his dad’s health. Replying to PM Modi’s tweet, Hrithik informed everyone that his father’s surgery has gone well. He had written, “Thank you Sir for your concern and good wishes. I am very happy to inform that according to the doctors his surgery has gone off well.”

And now, Rakesh Roshan has also affirmed that he is feeling well. While talking to Mid-day, the filmmaker said, “All is okay. I am fine. Surgery is done and all is fine. God is great. I am going to be back home on Friday or Saturday.”

According to the leading tabloid, a source close to Rakesh Roshan says, “Ever since the diagnosis, Rakeshji has been upbeat, cheerful and not at all daunted by the setback. He went into the surgery with his wife, brother (Rajesh Roshan), son Hrithik and daughter Sunaina by his side, and the surgery went smoothly. He is expected home by the end of this week.”

Hrithik Roshan had shared the news about his dad quite bravely and positively. With a picture where the father-son duo were seen posing at a gym, Hrithik wrote, “Asked my dad for a picture this morning. Knew he wouldn't miss gym on surgery day. He is probably the strongest man I know. Got diagnosed with early stage squamous cell carcinoma of the throat a few weeks ago, but he is in full spirits today as he proceeds to battle it. As a family we are fortunate and blessed to have a leader like him. Love you Dad.” Now, that Rakesh Roshan’s surgery has gone well and he is feeling better, we wish him a speedy recovery.
