Today, Rajkummar Rao is celebrated for his versatility in Bollywood, having portrayed a wide range of characters in various films. However, his journey to fame was not without its struggles. In a recent interview, the Omerta actor opened up about the financial hardships he faced during his early years, revealing how even a small amount of rs 300 once held significant value for him. He shared this memory during his appearance on the show Aapka Apna Zakir, where he was promoting his film Stree 2 alongside Shraddha Kapoor. Reflecting on his high school days, Rajkummar recounted how he used to earn rs 300 by teaching dance to a seven-year-old girl. He vividly remembered receiving his first salary, which consisted of six rs 50 notes. At that time, his family's financial situation was challenging, and the rs 300 meant a great deal to him. Rajkummar explained that he used his first earnings to buy groceries for his family, and with the remaining money, he purchased desi ghee—a luxury for his family at the time. He recalled how having ghee on their rotis was a big deal, underscoring the modest yet meaningful impact of his first paycheck. When Shraddha Kapoor was asked about her first salary, she shared a different but equally grounding experience. She recalled how her parents sent her to the United States to keep her grounded, giving her a limited budget. To earn extra money, Shraddha worked at a coffee shop, where she received her first paycheck of $40, which she spent on food. Rajkummar's journey from his humble beginnings to becoming a renowned actor is inspiring. Born to Satya Prakash Yadav and Kamlesh Yadav in 1984, he grew up in a family where his father worked as a government employee in the Haryana revenue department. Unfortunately, Rajkummar lost both of his parents—his father in 2016 and his mother in 2019.

Rajkummar pursued his education at the University of Delhi before honing his acting skills at the Film and Television Institute of India. His entry into Bollywood came with the film Love Sex Aur Dhokha in 2010, but it was his choice of diverse roles in movies like Queen, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Stree, Ludo, and Kai Po Che that truly established him as a versatile actor.

Most recently, Rajkummar returned to the big screen with Stree 2, the sequel to his hit horror comedy Stree, which was released on August 15. His ability to take on varied roles and deliver compelling performances has made him one of the most respected actors in the industry today. Rajkummar's story is a testament to his hard work, resilience, and the value he places on the simpler things in life, even as he continues to achieve greater success.
