Rajiv Kapoor Passes Away: Actor Called Up His School Friend A Day Before His Death
Much to everyone’s dismay, actor Rajiv Kapoor passed away on Tuesday, February 9 after suffering from a massive cardiac arrest. His brother Randhir Kapoor rushed him to the hospital. From his fans, family members to the film fraternity, everyone mourned over his death. Well, recently, we have learnt that the late actor had called up his school-friend named Rajiv Khanna a day before his demise. According to TOI’s source, late legendary actor Raj Kapoor’s son had called Khanna last night to congratulate him over his daughter’s new work. They have a WhatsApp group, on which Khanna posted about his daughter’s work and this made Kapoor call him last night.

A source was quoted saying by the portal, "These guys had a WhatsApp group on which they were frequently in touch. The WhatsApp group was pretty active and yesterday a certain Rajiv Khanna in that group happened to post something nice about his daughter's new work. Reading it, Rajiv Kapoor felt so happy that he called up Rajiv Khanna last night and spoke to him about the same and extended his congratulations wishing the Khannas the very best.”

His other friend and producer-actor Viveck Vaswani who have studied in the same school told the portal, "Rajiv Kapoor was a very warm guy. I have lost a dear friend. I last met him at a birthday gathering about 4 months ago.” He further said that he loved shooting at RK Studios as he has shot all his films there.

“It was a sort of tradition with me wherein I would invariably have my lunch with Randhir. Today- no RK Studios, no Rajiv Kapoor, no Rishi Kapoor. It feels just terrible,” he further added.
