Actor Rahul Roy rose to fame after making his Bollywood debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s Aashiqui in 1990. He went on to become an overnight sensation and one of the most sought-after actors in the entertainment industry. However as time went by his career faded. It came to a standstill in 2020, when he suffered a brain stroke during the shoot of Nitin Gupta's directorial film, LAC – Live the Battle in Ladakh. During a recent media interaction, the actor and his sister Priyanka opened up about that time and revealed how it was Salman Khan who rushed to their help.

In the interview with Bollywood Hungama, Priyanka recalled how Rahul was taken to the Wockhardt Hospitals after his health had started to deteriorate. Her requests to take care of her brother were ignored by the director. He underwent angiography of the brain and heart, in Ladakh and was soon shifted to Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital. The siblings went on to reveal that they faced a lot of difficulties arranging money for his hospital bills. They went on to thank Salman for helping them. Calling the Dabangg actor a gem, she gushed about how he never spoke about this in the media. She said, “The most beautiful thing is Salman did not speak about it in front of the media. This is called really being with a person. This touched my heart. This man is a gem. I mean I didn’t ask him. Somebody out of the crowd comes and asks in reality if you are in trouble, and that’s the biggest thing.”

On the work front, Rahul will be seen in Nitin Kumar Gupta’s Walk, a sequel to one of his ‘big films’ and Kanu Behl’s Agra.
