Rahul Roy Health Update: Aashiqui Actor On The Road Of Recovery; Has Started Eating And No Stenting Required Reveals Family Friend
Aashiqui actor Rahul Roy recently suffered a brain stroke while shooting for a film in Kargil. She was admitted to Nanavati Hospital and is on the road of recovery
It was recently that Aashiqui actor and Bigg Boss 1 winner Rahul Roy suffered a brain stroke. He was in Kargil shooting for a film called LAC. He was then airlifted to Srinagar and then to Mumbai. Rahul Roy got admitted to Nanavati Hospital and is on the road of recovery. Earlier, a few reports suggested that Rahul Roy may have to undergo stenting in order to avoid further strokes. However, his close friend-producer Ashwani Kumar stated that he does not need stenting and that Rahul Roy has started eating too.
To ETimes, Ashwani Kumar was quoted saying, "Rahul has started eating also: he's on a light diet to begin with. There is a small clot that is still there, it will be dissolved with thinners. Of course the entire process will take time but so far so good. Besides, there are too many reports floating since yesterday that stenting (a surgical procedure) will be required but that is incorrect. Stenting is not required as of now. I am also in touch with a top neuro surgeon in Kolkata and even he has said Rahul is showing ominous signs of recovery."
Earlier, Nitin Kumar Gupta, the director of LAC has revealed what happened in Kargil with Rahul Roy. To Mumbai Mirror, he said, "Being a doctor myself, I suspected aphasia, which affects speech, and immediately took him to a local hospital for a CT scan. The doctors there didn’t say anything but I referred the reports to some doctor friends and one of them suggested it might be a mini stroke which does not get caught in a CT Scan and recommended that we fly him to Mumbai for further treatment."
We wish him a speedy recovery. (Also Read: Aashiqui Star Rahul Roy OUT OF DANGER After Suffering A Brain Stroke On Sunday; Doctors Begin Speech And Physical Therapy, Says Brother-In-Law)
