Radhika Madan Recalls Her Equation With Irrfan Khan; Adds, 'In A Way We Were Prepared But Had A Ray Of Hope Too'- EXCLUSIVE
We lost Bollywood's one of the legendary actors on April 29, Irrfan Khan. The loss has been immense and the entire industry will never get another like him. Recently, we were in a conversation with Radhika Madan, as she launched a new single, Lag Ja Gale, where she tried her hands on the keyboard for the first time.

During our conversation, we also spoke about her last film Angrezi Medium, where she shared the screen with late actor, Irrfan Khan. Radhika, who played his daughter in the film, said that somewhere those who were close to him saw it coming as they were constantly in touch with what's happening with Irrfan regarding his health. However, the actress added even though they knew it at the back of their mind, yet they always had a hope that Irrfan would bounce back.

Radhika said, "It took me 2-3 days to grasp it. I was obviously updated about what's happening with him, Homi used to keep telling us about his condition. So, in a way we were prepared but still there was always a ray of hope. We always felt he would bounce back, so, when it actually happened, the realisation took place in a few days.

Radhika further added that Irrfan will always be remembered for the great things he contributed to the cinema. "It is a great loss but he has left a great legacy and we have to get inspired by the choices he made. The courage he had, the way he lived his life- that;s what we need to learn from him," said Radhika.

Talking about working with him in his last film, Angrezi Medium, Radhika said, "It was him who made everything and everyone comfortable, right from the first day. He always treated me as his equal. All the credit goes to him. He was my dad, he was not The Irrfan Khan- an international star, or a legendary actor but just my dad, and he made sure I felt that way. And I also always looked at him like that when we were on-the-set."

Angrezi Medium, also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Deepak Dobriyal, was Irrfan's last work on the big screen. However, due to the lockdown and the pandemic crisis, it was brought down from the theatres on the day of it's release, as the Govt passed orders to shut cinema halls. It was later released on the OTT platform on April 15.
