Radhe Actor Gautam Gulati Confirms Walking Out Of Ayushmann Khurrana And Vaani Kapoor Starrer Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui-EXCLUSIVE
Gautam Gulati had a turning point in his life when he won the reality show Bigg Boss 8 in 2015. Things started to turn around for him professionally after that. He went on to do multiple small roles in films like Azhar and Behen Hogi Teri. Last year, he had his first leading role for the Zee 5 film, Virgin Bhanupriya opposite Urvashi Rautela.

However, it was only in the recent Salman Khan’s Eid release, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, that Gautam got his big break. The actor plays one of the three villains, Girgit, who is also Randeep Hooda’s henchman in the film. He has been garnering praise for his portrayal of a psychotic villain and is enjoying that success.

Before Radhe, in November last year, it was reported that Gautam had signed yet another big film, Abhishek Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor. The film is reportedly based on the story of a married couple’s plight when the husband finds out that his wife is transgender. Gautam was supposed to be playing the third wheel in Ayushmann and Vaani’s relationship.

However, in an exclusive conversation with Spotboye.com, Gautam clarified that he opted out of the film before his shoot began. “I was going to do that film but the narration of the film was a bit different than what was in the final draft. Abhishek Kapoor is a sweet guy and I was really looking forward to working with him. But when the final script came to me, there were some things that didn’t seem the same way as I was told earlier in the narration about my character. Earlier I had said yes to do the film just after hearing about my character but after this happened, I spoke to my team, we discussed and ended up not doing the film,” Gautam confesses.
