International sensation Priyanka Chopra has garnered a huge fan following worldwide. While she is all set to make her OTT debut with Russo brothers’ Citadel, she has been making the headlines for bold confessions. From talking about embracing motherhood late in her life with the right partner to talking about experiencing favouritism in Bollywood, she has unapologetically talked about her personal life experience. Now during a recent interview, she opened up about the time her father Dr Ashok Chopra laid down rules, when she returned to India from America at the age of 16.

In an interaction with The Howard Stern Show, Priyanka recalled the time her late father had become paranoid upon her return to India. Shedding light on the matter, she explained how she was sent to the US at the age of 12 with braids. In order to be cool, she had her hair blown out. In her words she came back with “all of these American hormones and the food.” She returned to India “a little bit more woman” than her father had anticipated. He explained how she lived her life in a small town in India, like she had back in America, which had boys following her home. ALSO READ: OMG! Quoted by ABP News, she said, “I thought I was invincible. I think about it now. How did I get away with this s*** that I did? But it was this invincible thing of, 'I can get away with anything'. But that day when somebody was outside my bedroom. He was outside my balcony and I saw him and I screamed and went to my dad. My dad came, he jumped and he went away. The next day my dad was like, 'You need rules'. I was so arrogant and vain in those two years of my life. Especially when I came back to India.”

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra has an exciting slate of upcoming projects. She will be next seen in the Russo brothers' spy thriller Citadel, co-starring Richard Madden. Apart from this, she has Love Again and Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in the pipeline.
