Priyanka Chopra Jonas On Her Role In Matrix 4: ‘Just A Small Fish In A Huge Pond’
Priyanka Chopra Jonas has emerged as one of the biggest global superstars that the world has ever seen. The actress has put India and Indian cinema on the global map in a way that has increased its reach so much more.

After establishing herself as a leading actress in Bollywood, Priyanka tried her hand in the west with a leading role in the drama series, Quantico, as the FBI agent Alex Parish. The series turned out to be a major success along with Priyanka in the west, and the role even garnered her two People’s Choice Awards there.

Apart from Quantico, Priyanka appeared in her first Hollywood film, Baywatch, alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. She also appeared in the drama A Kid Like Jake, which featured The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons. Her next Hollywood venture was Isn’t It Romantic with Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Liam Hemsworth. Last year, she was seen in the kid superhero movie, We Can Be Heroes, alongside Pedro Pascal and then in the international film, The White Tiger with Rajkummar Rao this year.

Next up, the actress has the fourth instalment of The Matrix franchise titled, The Matrix Resurrections, featuring Keanu Reeves in the lead. The trailer of the film releases today and two days ago, the actress took to Instagram to share her excitement for it. Along with a little teaser of the trailer announcement, Priyanka wrote, “Yep! it’s almost time to take that pill.”

Priyanka’s friend and actress Mini Mathur shared the post on her stories saying, “Oh My God @PriyankaChopra. This is so mad cool!! Can’t wait to see what you bring to this film.” Replying to that wish, and saying a little about her role, without divulging much, Priyanka wrote, “Just a small fish in a huge pond babe! But happy for the opportunity! The love!!”

The Matrix Resurrections also features Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Christina Ricci, and is looking for a theatrical release on December 22, 2021. As for Priyanka, she has the romantic drama, Text For You, with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion, Amazon Prime Video’s series Citadel with Game Of Thrones star Richard Madden and an action film, Cowboy Ninja Viking with Chris Pratt. As for Hindi films, she will next be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
