Prithviraj: Akshay Kumar’s Film Set To Be DESTROYED; Some Crucial Sequences Are Yet To Be Shot
Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj that has become one of the highly-anticipated movies of this year has now landed in some trouble, all thanks to the Coronavirus lockdown. According to a report in Mid-Day, the huge set that was erected for the film’s shoot will now be destroyed before the monsoon hits it. Ever since the lockdown has been imposed, not a single scene is been shot on the set which has been standing over the past two months. With no filming, it is also costing them in maintaining the set and hence the makers have decided to pull it down before monsoons.

A Mid-Day report quoted a source as saying, “The head honchos of Yash Raj Films had kept the set standing over the past two months, hoping that the situation would improve soon. However, with the rains only weeks away, it doesn’t seem feasible to retain the set any longer. The makers are currently procuring necessary permission to have it pulled down. Akshay had filmed a major portion of the Chandraprakash Dwivedi-directed drama at the Dahisar set before the lockdown was announced, but some crucial sequences have yet to be shot.”

Apart from Akshay Kumar, Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar will be making her big debut opposite the star in the film. She will be playing the love interest of Akshay’s character.

Meanwhile, Akshay and Katrina Kaif’sSooryavanshi was supposed to release on March 24 but due to the outbreak of coronavirus, the film’s released date has been postponed ‘indefinitely.’ On the other hand, his next release Laxxmi Bomb is reported to have a digital release just like Gulabo Sitabo and Shakuntala Devi, however, fans want the film to release in the theatres as well. Whereas his other films like Bachchan Pandey, Atrangi Re, Bell Bottom, Ekta Kapoor's untitled action-comedy are stuck in the limbo.
