Pooja Bhatt Opposes Use Of Word 'Rape' For Describing Something Not Related To Sexual Assault; 'It Deflects From The Horror'
In her latest tweet, Pooja Bhatt has stated that words like rape/raped should not be used loosely to describe something that is not related to sexual assault
After the horrifying details of Hathras gang-rape came to light, many celebrities took to their social media handles to express anger, sorrow and disappointment. Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Kriti Sanon, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Reteish Deshmukh, Alia Bhatt and many more took to their respective social media handles to raise their voice against the brutal crime. Among all, actor and Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Pooja Bhatt too has been voicing her opinion on the case.
Recently, she tweeted that people should stop making use of words such as rape in lose context. She justified saying that the act deflects and diminishes the horror that a rape victims goes through. He tweet read, "The term ‘rape/raped’ used loosely as a description & in context to acts that are not related to sexual assault must stop. It deflects from the horror of all that rape signifies-physically,emotionally and mentally."
