Last night, one
of Mumbai's top lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui was arrested in connection with
Nawazuddin Siddiqui's name having cropped up in the CDR (Compact Disc Records)
scam, where it was discovered that the actor had been spying on his wife Aaliya
and asked for her call records through his lawyer Rizwan who had helped him to
obtain them.

Nawaz had sent a
representative to Thane Police who told the cops that Nawaz and Aaliya had hit
a rough patch sometime ago but later patched up. Police Inspector Nitin Thakre

science that Nawaz had asked for the call records, courtesy those ugly fights
with his wife during that period.

Now since
morning, certain News Alerts are doing the rounds of WhatsApp that Nawaz
appeared before the Thane Police and the Thane Police Commissioner Parambir
Singh has been quoted as saying that Nawaz has no direct role in the CDR case.

It is clear that
certain paid and unpaid well-wishers of Nawaz are working overtime. A call to
Parambir Singh just a few minutes ago from SpotboyE yielded this. "Nawaz
has not yet met us, but he is cooperating. He may (note the word 'may') not be
directly involved in the CDR scam. We are calling him as a witness. His
advocate (Read: Rizwan Siddiqui) had asked for his wife's call records, but we
don't know at whose insistence." But why would Nawaz's advocate ask
for Aaliya's call records if Nawaz hadn't put him on the job?
Pray, why is the
actor hiding behind a curtain ever since the controversy broke out?
Why such
cowardice if you were really not spying on your wife, Mr Nawaz?
