PM Narendra Modi Lauds Varun Dhawan-Sara Ali Khan's Coolie No 1 For Supporting Ban On Single-Use Plastic

After Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer, Coolie No 1, supported a ban on single-usage of plastic, PM Narendra Modi who announced this new mass movement, applauded the team congratulating them on their 'superb gesture'

On August 25, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi announced a new mass movement in order to eliminate the single-use plastic. Since then many came out in open to support this cause. Earlier, an elated Aamir Khan took to his social media handle and expressed his happiness on the same. Well, now it is Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan and their Coolie No. 1 team. Well, recently, Varun shared a picture of the team where they all are flaunting their new steel bottles.    

He had captioned it as, "Being a plastic-free nation is the need of the hour and great initiative taken by our prime minister and we can all do this by making small changes. The sets of #CoolieNo1 will now only use steel bottles. @PMOIndia"


However, Modi, who was happy, took to his happiness on Twitter and wrote, "Superb gesture by the team of #CoolieNo1! Happy to see the film world contributing towards freeing India from single use plastic."


After Modi's reply, Varun too wrote a short note, thanking PM Modi, he wrote, "धन्यवाद प्रधानमंत्री जी.साफ सफाई की शुरुआत घर की सबसे पहली शिक्षा होती है और मेरा यह मानना है कि जिस तरह से स्वच्छ भारत अभियान की शुरुआत आपने की है उसमें हरेक भारतीय को अपना योगदान देना चाहिए. स्वच्छता के हिसाब से भारत को नंबर 1 बनाना हमारा संकल्प है."


Recently, a massive fire broke out on the sets of Coolie No. 1, which is located at the Filmistan Studio in Goregaon, Mumbai. Talking about Coolie No.1, Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starrer is a remake of the 1995 comedy film by the same name starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. This film will also be directed by Varun Dhawan’s father and filmmaker David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. The shooting for the remake of Coolie No. 1 has already begun. Both the actors even shared their excitement on social media.
