Pathaan Row: FIR Filed In Lucknow For Morphing UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s Image With Deepika Padukone-REPORTS
The controversies around Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Pathaan do not seem to end. The film has once again landed in trouble ever since the song ‘Besharam Rang’ was released and netizens do not seem to be happy about it.

Now, Lucknow’s cyber cell has lodged an FIR against unidentified persons for tweeting a morphed poster of the upcoming movie after replacing actor Deepika Padukone’s face with that of UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

A Twitter user with the name AzaarSRK_, shared a picture with CM Yogi’s morphed picture.

For those unaware, the poster is from the promotional song of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer film that sparked controversy recently after BJP and right-wing leaders objectified to Deepika Padukone wearing the saffron dress.

Incidentally, the 36-year-old actress has been under scanner as she extended her support during the JNU protests in 2018.

The Cybercrime cell of the UP police jumped into action after a case was lodged against the Pathaan controversy. Several teams have been formed to trace the mischief maker(s). Police have also increased vigil in the state, reported TOI.

Alpana Ghosh, the Deputy Superintendent of the UP Police, said that the case was registered on the complaint of a head constable of the Cybercrime cell.

As per the TOI report, a case was registered for deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage the religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs under section 295 A of the IPC and under section 66 of the IT Act against a Twitter handle which was operating in the name of @AzaarSRK_.

The report also quoted cyber police officials stating, "It is from the same handle through which the morphed photo of the CM of UP was uploaded first."

The latest controversy comes to light after a poster of the actress donning a saffron colour dress came on social media platforms. Unfortunately, the use of saffron dress in the song was dubbed ‘vulgar’ and they have been demanding a ban on the film's release.
