PATCH-UP TIME? Saif Ali Khan & Estranged Partner, Dinesh Vijan To REUNITE?

There are no permanent friendships and differences in Bollywood. Here’s another example of the same.

3 years back, friends and business partners Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan split ways due to creative differences. The duo, who earlier, were both part of the production house Illuminati Films decided to work separately. While Saif continued in Illuminati Films, Dinesh helmed projects under Maddock Films, with the last few being, Sushant Singh Rajput’s Raabta and Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium.

But now the buzz is that a patch-up between Saif and Dinesh is in the pipeline. Reportedly, the two have been chatting up with each other constantly and the project in question is a sequel to Go Goa Gone (2013), a zombie drama that started Saif Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu and Vir Das.

It’s being said that after analysing their individual successes and failures, they realised that they worked better as a team. A source tells a leading daily, “Their sensibilities do match on many levels and they are keen to work things out. After all, when they worked together, their banner was responsible for some really good and successful cinema.”

Back in 2014, while creative differences were primarily the reason for their split, financial differences were also said to be a major cause for the rift. Apparently, Saif was uncomfortable with the handling of the budgets.

The last few films on which Saif and Dinesh worked together in 2014 were Happy Ending and Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. Both bombed at the box-office.

Well, individually Saif and Dinesh have seen failures for a long time, let’s see if coming back will reignite the magic of this Love Aaj Kal and Cocktail jodi.
