The Hera Pheri franchise plays an important role in the lives of movie fans. Raju, Shyam, and Baburao getting into trouble during their adventures to earn money has often left the fans rolling on the floor with laughter.

Recently, speculations were a riff about the third instalment of the franchise. While some stated that Akshay Kumar would be reprising his role as Raju, many also stated that he wouldn’t be a part of the film as he was unhappy with the script. A fan asked the 67-year-old actor on Twitter this morning if the rumours about Kartik being in the film are true, and Rawal confirmed, "Yes, it's true." Fans were devastated by the tweet. Many people began flooding the comment section with hilarious memes and declared that there would be no Hera Pheri 3 with Akshay.

While the tweet doesn’t suggest that Kartik is replacing the 56-year-old actor, fans are still heartbroken and awaiting an official confirmation on the same. It wouldn’t be the first time that the heartthrob has replaced Akshay in a movie’s sequel. For the unversed, Aaryan replaced Kumar in Anees Bazmee's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which went on to become one of the highest grossing movies of 2022.
