Panipat: Amid Comparisons, Arjun Kapoor Reveals 'Baba' Ranveer Singh Got Excited Upon Seeing His Film’s Trailer
Arjun Kapoor’s upcoming period drama Panipat has been hitting the headlines due to mixed reasons. While many people have lauded Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon’s performances, there has also been a section of people that have been comparing Arjun’s character of Sadashiv Rao Bhau to that of Ranveer Singh as Peshwa Bajirao from Bajirao Mastani. However, it looks like Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor don’t bother paying heed to such trolls and busy lauding each other’s works. In a recent interview with TOI, Arjun Kapoor revealed how the trailer of Panipat got Ranveer Singh excited. The actor said that he is very happy about the fact that Ranveer Singh approved of Panipat’s trailer. He added that how these two have been doing films of different genres, but the story is different. “He (Ranveer) got very excited seeing the trailer and I am happy about that. Look we are friends, apart from being actors. We are not constantly discussing acting and character development. We do films of the same genres as actors but eventually, the stories of these films are different. We have always interacted at a friendly level and never went into deep discussion," said Arjun.

Further, Arjun revealed Ranveer Singh and he would constantly treat each other with glimpses of their upcoming films and the two would talk about it; however, they would avoid getting into a deep discussion. “He would share pictures from '83' and I would share something from my shooting, and we would talk about it. But we never discussed beyond a point, as every director has a different vision for his or her film. If I ask him ‘tu hota to ye scene kaise karta', then I might corrupt my thinking," added Arjun. Fair enough!

Meanwhile, Panipat is slated to release on December 6, 2019.
