Panga Trailer Review: Kangana Ranaut’s Sports Drama Is Crafted With Equal Portion Of Emotions And Ambition
Kangana Ranaut starrer Panga is one of the most anticipated sports drama film, and is directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. The film chronicles the life of a national level Kabaddi player, Jaya Nigam, played by Kangana and the numerous teasers and first look of the actors Kangana, Richa Chadha and Jassie Gill had piqued the viewers’ curiosity. Now the trailer of Panga is finally out and it is crafted with just the right amount of emotions and inspiration.

There was no doubt that Kangana Ranaut is an ace performer and her performance in Panga only confirms this. There is no stopping for this versatile actress as she yet again nails the role of a mother, a middle-class Indian woman, a forgotten Kabaddi player- Jaya Nigam.  What’s beautiful about this female-centric sports flick is the fact that it has also been helmed by a female director, giving this film a female perspective. This movie about a woman, by a woman, aims at busting stereotypes, highlighting what it is like, being a woman in sports, also balancing her life as a mother and a wife, while making a comeback to Kabaddi. Looks like this film will have a stronger resonance with the female audience, given its storyline. Neena Gupta rightly says in the trailer, “Jis umar me players retire hone ki sochti hai, usme ye comeback karti hai,” and if that’s not inspiring, we don’t know what is! Age really is no bar when it comes to chasing your dreams.

While Kangana shines in the trailer, it would be unfair not to mention Neena Gupta’s role. The Badhaai Ho actress outdoes herself each and every time. Her part in the trailer, though short, has left us impressed. The same goes for Jassie Gill and Richa Chadha. Going by the trailer, this film will definitely be worth watching, with spectacular performances by the actors.

Panga, starring Kangana Ranaut,  Jassie Gill, Neena Gupta,  Richa Chadha, will hit the theatres on January 24, 2020. The film will lock horns at the box office with Street Dancer 3D, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Varun Dhawan.
