Oscars 2022: From Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan To Gauahar Khan, Here's How B-Town Celebs REACTED To Will Smith Slapping Chris Rock
The 94th Academy Awards was all about Will Smith and Chris Rock as the former smacked the comedian on his joke about Smith’s wife Jada’s shaved head. Their heated argument took an ugly turn when Chris referred Jada to as ‘GI Jane’ and joked about her baldness. During the award night, the actor who was sitting in the front row walked to the stage and slapped Chris on his face. Now several Bollywood celebrities have reacted to the shocking incident.

The incident took over social media by storm not just in Hollywood but several B-Town celebrities have also expressed their views on the same.

Reacting to the video, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture from the event and wrote, “And they say women can never control their emotions.” Varun Dhawan too shared his reaction on the video and wrote, “Wow Didn’t expect that also, @ChrisRock has a chin”.

Bollywood actress Gauahar Khan also took to her official Twitter handle and reacted to the incident. Her tweet reads, “Oscar Jeet Gaye, par izzat haar gaye (Won an Oscar but lost respect)! Sad about #willsmith attacking a fellow artist , !!! Comedians at risk , #NewAge #Notolerance . Dialogue is everything, on-screen and off. #Oscars.” The Fukrey actress Richa Chadha shared a meme on her IG story related to the incident.

For the unversed, the ‘Men In Black’ actor punched Chris Rock before he received his first Academy Award for Best Actor for his film ‘King Richard’. However, the actor later apologized in his speech to the Academy night but not to Chris. He said, “I just hope they didn't see that on TV. I want to say thank you to Venus and Serena and the entire Williams family for trusting me with your story. That's what I want to do. I want to be an ambassador of that kind of love and care and concern. I want to apologise to the Academy. I want to apologise to my all my fellow nominees.”
