Oscars Gives The Most OUTRAGEOUS & SILLY Reason For Not Including Shah Rukh Khan In The Academy Members' List
Shah Rukh Khan could not make it to members’ list by the Hollywood Academy. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Salman Khan, Irrfan Khan, Deepika Padukone, filmmakers Goutam Ghose and Buddhadeb Dasgupta are among those who have been invited to join the Academy and vote in the Oscars.

So, it was but obvious that SRK fans would create a huge ruckus out of it on social media. They have been questioning the decision of the Oscar committee related to the nominations. Finally after receiving a lot of backlash, the Academy released a statement as to why Shah Rukh hasn't been selected. AND we must say that their reason is outrageous!

Here’s what the statement read: "The basic requirement is that a candidate must have demonstrated exceptional achievement in the field of theatrical motion pictures."

Can you believe it? We’re sure SRK’s fans would further get angered with Academy’s reasoning. If Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone can make it to the list, we see no reason for a star like Shah Rukh Khan, who has proved his worth globally over the years, to not be among the Academy members.

For those who've come in late, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has issued 774 invitations to new members and Indian stars recently. According to The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences website, the 2017 invitees come from 57 countries, with the list comprising 39 per cent female and 30 per cent people of colour.

The list of actors also includes Israeli actress and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot, comedian Amy Poehler, Mr. Robot actor Rami Malek, Rogue One actor Riz Ahmed, Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Dwayne The Rock Johnson.

Coming back to Oscars’ reasoning of excluding Shah Rukh Khan, well, it is surely not justified!
