OOPS, Moment! When Priyanka Chopra Faced Wardrobe Malfunction After Her Gown Zipper Broke Down Moments Before Walking Cannes Red Carpet
When the zipper on the back of Priyanka Chopra’s shimmery body-hugging gown broke down at Cannes 2019 before posing for the media!
Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas has established herself as a successful actress both in Bollywood and Hollywood. She is one such star who is regular at turning heads at prestigious international award functions. PeeCee’s stunning looks at the Cannes film festival have always been the talk of the town for obvious reasons. But did you know during the 2019 Cannes, PeeCee faced a major wardrobe malfunction minutes before walking the red carpet? Yes, you read that right! Priyanka’s gown zipper broke down before she posed for the paparazzi.
The 40-year-old actress herself made this shocking revelation by sharing throwback photos from the event but later deleted them for unknown reasons. Her post was captioned, “I may look chill on the outside here, but little did everyone know I had just been freaking out on the inside. The delicate zipper to this vintage @roberto_cavalli dress broke as they were zipping it up minutes before I had to leave for the red carpet at Cannes last year. The solution? My amazing team had to sew me into the dress on the way in the 5 minute car ride!” ALSO READ: Priyanka Chopra At Cannes 2019: My Word! What A Spectacular Debut!
It so happened that the zipper on the back of her vintage Roberto Cavalli shimmery body-hugging gown featuring a thigh-high slit broke down while she was heading to walk the red carpet at the film festival. Minutes later, her team came to her rescue and fixed her dress. This was not the first time when Priyanka had an oops moment.
In 2000 during the Miss World competition, the actress wore an outfit that was taped to her body but the tape came off after she started sweating too much while being crowned Miss World. Thus, she had to hold her hands in the Namaste gesture to hold her dress up.
