On Teacher's Day 2018 Sara Ali Khan Thanks Rohit Shetty & Abhishek Kapoor
Sara Ali Khan's took time out from her busy schedule to wish her Simmba director Rohit Shetty and Kedarnath director Abhishek Kapoor on Teacher's Day. Here's what she had to say about the two directors
Sara Ali Khan is set to make her Bollywood debut this year. Previously it was going to be Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath, but that film's release this year seems unlikely. So in all probability, Sara's debut will happen with Rohit Shetty's Simmba. Today on the occasion of Teacher's Day, Sara decided to thank both her directors for being her mentors.
Sara took to social media to share a series of pictures with Rohit and captioned them as: "Happy Teachers’ Day @itsrohitshetty Sir!! 💐💐 Thank you for being the kindest, warmest and most giving person I know. And thank you for trying to teach me not just my job, but how to be a better person each time I meet you. 🙏🙏💪🔝 #simmba #gratitude #boss (sic)."
Soon afterwards, she wished Abhishek also with pics from Kedarnath shoot and captioned them as: "शिक्षक दिवस की बहुत शुभकामनाएँ @gattukapoor । इस दिन पर मैं आपका शुक्रिया अदा करना चाहती हूँ कि आपने मुझे केदारनाथ की इस यात्रा पर ले जाना उचित समझा। इस मौक़े के लिए, आपके प्रोत्साहन के लिए और मेरे प्रति आपके धीरज के लिए मैं हमेशा आपकी आभारी रहूँगी।🙏🙏🙌🏻🌸🌸 #kedarnath #jaibholenath #shambu (sic)."
It's interesting to note that it was Gattu who signed her first for films, and shot with her for almost an entire year. However, his constant reshoots kept pushing the release date forward. The last they had announced the release date for Kedarnath was November 30, but that too seems unlikely as Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer magnum opus Robot 2.0 will hit theatres just a day before. No one, in their right sense, would want to clash with Robot 2.0.
Not to forget that Gattu's reshoots got clashing with Simmba's shoot and because of this, Sara was dragged to the court and asked to cough up Rs 5 Cr. However, that was later resolved between producers Ronnie Screwvala and Karan Johar outside court.
Starring Ranveer Singh opposite her, Simmba hits theatres on December 28. It's not quite sure when Kedarnath, starring Sushant Singh Rajput opposite her, would hit screens. Let's wait and watch what new date Gattu announces.
