Salman Khan hosted-controversial reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ is the most watched and popular show on Indian television. This year, the show will come up with its sixteenth season, and needless to say, all eyes are on it. Notably, Salman charges a whopping amount to host BB every year, and reportedly, for this year he has demanded Rs. 1000 crore. Shocked right? As per the latest report, the makers are giving the actor a heft amount to host Bigg Boss 16.

As per a report in Financial Express, the Sultan actor has asked for a pay hike this year, three times more than what he got for Bigg Boss 15. Reportedly, he charged Rs. 350 crores for the entire season last year. Thus, for the upcoming season, Khan is expected to take a fee of Rs 1000 crore. However, there’s no official confirmation on the same. These huge figures are just as per the buzz. 

Meanwhile, the new season will reportedly go on air in October 2022. The makers are currently busy zeroing in on the contestants for the show. Lock Up winner Munawar Faruqui, TikTok star Faisal Shaikh and TV actors Shivin Narang, and Vivian Dsena are said to be the confirmed contestants of Bigg Boss 16, which will be based on an aqua theme. Other popular names like Poonam Pandey, Jannat Zubair, Kanika Mann, Saisha Shinde, Prachi Desai, Deepika Singh, and others are also doing the rounds. It is being said that just like in every season, celebrity contestants have to pass a few levels to enter the BB16 house. In this season, they would be five levels of tests that contestants have to pass to enter the show. Meanwhile, the last season of Bigg Boss was won by TV actress Tejasswi Prakash. While Pratik Sehajpal became the first runner-up of Bigg Boss 15, Karan Kundrra emerged as the second runner-up of the show.
