Internet and social media has certainly become a scary place for celebrities as netizens often like to dig out their past videos and photos to comment about it. The space literally never forgets anything. One such actor who often faces backlash from the netizens for his ‘problematic’ behaviour towards his female co-stars is Ranbir Kapoor. In a video that has now gone viral on social media, he is seen telling his ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif to “shut up,” which has left the netizens enraged.

For those who don’t remember, despite never confirming their relationship publicly it was well-known that Ranbir and Katrina were in a relationship. However, they broke up in 2016, after dating for around seven years. They did come together in 2017 for the film Jagga Jasoos, which was not very well received at the box office. Well, it is a known fact that during the promotions of the film, the actors didn’t see eye to eye and often spoke to each other passive-aggressively. The video, which was first posted on Reddit, is from one of the promotional interviews where they were promoting the film in a radio studio. The RJ asks Kapoor a question when Kat interrupts them, trying to answer it. Losing his temper on his ex-girlfriend and co-star, quoted by Bollywood Life, he says, “Katrina, shut up now. Let me answer my question.” Irked by the Animal actor’s attitude towards her, Katrina asks the people standing there if the camera is on. As Kat’s behaviour starts to upset him, the 41-year-old actor goes on to complain to the RJ on how he was quiet when the Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani actress was answering her questions. He tells Kaif that she is interrupting him and that he wants his freedom and space to answer his question. As soon as the post went viral, it led to fans defending their favourites. Well, even though the post on Reddit was deleted, netizens took to the comment section of the post to share their reactions. 

One wrote, “How they didn't kill each other while shooting this movie is beyond my understanding.” Another commented, “I was watching these old jagga jasoos interviews yesterday only and my God did Kat hate Ranbir’s guts from her whole heart, she couldn’t stand him and Ranbir literally had to plead Katrina in his passive aggressive tone to spare his image. he also was a d*ck to her many times.” 

A netizen reshared the video of X (formerly known as Twitter) with the caption, “When #RanbirKapoor shuts #KatrinaKaif on live TV. The way Katrina responded indicates that it's not the first time that happened. It was just on camera this time. Also, we still have the "wipe it off "and "phaloed" statements to go about his nature in general.”


On the personal front, Ranbir Kapoor is now happily married to his wife Alia Bhatt and they are raising their daughter Raha Kapoor together. On the other hand, Katrina Kaif tied the knot with Vicky Kaushal in an intimate wedding ceremony. The couple likes to keep their personal life away from the limelight.
