Actor Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated project Ramayan. Paired opposite Sai Pallavi, the duo will essay the roles of Lord Rama and Mata Sita. Audiences have been eagerly waiting for the makers of the movie to share official updates after glimpses of the actors strolling in the gardens went viral on social media. It was also heavily reported that he has quit ‘drinking and eating meat’ to “feel as pure and clean as Sri Rama.” Well, it seems like the reports were false, as he was spotted holding a glass of drink during Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s second pre-wedding celebration.
In a photo that is now going viral on social media, RK Jr is seen conversing with a wedding guest while holding a glass of drink in his hands. It is to be noted, that the context behind the actor holding the drink is not known yet. Dressed in off-white trousers and a matching jacket, he was seen standing next to Shanaya Kapoor. The photo has certainly raised many eyebrows as Kapoor holding the glass, during the Italy to France cruise, just dismissed the earlier claims. For those who don’t remember, earlier reports stated that the 41-year-old actor had quit smoking and drinking so he could stay true to his portrayal of Lord Ram. Explaining how the cast is being taught to lead a “self-restrained lifestyle,” a source close to project had informed Koimoi, “While the film will be shot, Ranbir will abstain completely from drinking and eating meat. These are not things he would avoid just for his public image, but also as a dedicated actor Ranbir wants to feel as pure and clean as Sri Rama. Talking about the upcoming mythological film, Yash will reportedly be seen essaying the role of Ravana. If reports are to be believed, Naveen Polishetty will be Lakshman, Sunny Deol will play the role of Lord Hanuman. Apart from them, the cast also includes names like Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Sakshi Tanwar, and many others. The first installment of the film is said to be released in 2025.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor also has the sequel of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s blockbuster film Animal, Animal Park, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise in his pipeline.
