Deepika Padukone became a homeowner in 2010 when she booked a sprawling 4 BHK apartment in one of the most expensive locales in Mumbai. The apartment on the 26th floor of one of the poshest apartment complexes in Mumbai, became the talk of the town. She had reportedly paid Rs 16 crore at that point for her new home.
And now Deepika has booked another apartment in the same tower, flat number 3001 on the 30th floor. This new apartment cost Deepika to the tune of 40 crores.
SpotboyE.com has it that she has bought it as a gift, for someone who is very dear in her life.
No, it is not for her long-time beau Ranveer Singh but her dad Prakash Padukone.

A source tells us that Prakash Padukone was impressed by the beautiful complex, which has walking trails, swimming pools as well as badminton and squash courts. And Deepika decided that it will be a perfect fit for her health-conscious dad.
Now, the star is going all out to make sure that the apartment becomes the perfect Mumbai home for her family, which is currently based in Bangalore.

Deepika is known to be house-proud and had painstakingly decorated her own home in the same tower. She had commissioned Hyderabad-based celebrity interior designer Vinita Chaitanya for the job and chose a resplendent red and gold theme for her space.
The actress and her parents will share same Tower B but on different floors, of course...
When she is not busy buying and decorating homes, Deepika has her diary full of film projects.
She is currently juggling the promotional duties of her Hollywood film XXX and has started shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next Padmavati too.
