This morning, we woke up to the news of a massive fire that devastated Notre Dame Cathedral in the heart of Paris. The fire, which broke out around 7 pm local time, was brought under control by the fire fighters in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Reportedly, cathedral's spire and roof have been destroyed. Its iconic bell towers and stonework facade have survived, reports CNN.

Now, Bollywood celebs like Rishi Kapoor, Sonali Bendre, Malaika Arora, Vicky Kaushal among others have taken to their social media accounts and have sent their prayers and wishes to Paris.

Rishi Kapoor tweeted, “Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral will survive! It has the good wishes and prayers of millions.”

While, Malaika Arora, Sonali Bendre, and Vicky Kaushal among others posted a Notre Dame Cathedral picture on their Insta stories, to show their disappointment. Bhumi Pednekar wrote, “Woke up to the news of #NotreDameFire and my heart is broken. Shattered. Having visiting the cathedral a few times, there is a sense of loss... So much history... More power to the fire fighters they have done everything to save it.”

Kim Sharma too posted a picture of the iconic place wrote, “To one of my most favourite cathedrals , you made a million prayers come true some of mine too . Thank you . Paris will never be the same.”
Ex-President of USA, Barack Obama tweeted, “Notre Dame is one of the world’s great treasures, and we’re thinking of the people of France in your time of grief. It’s in our nature to mourn when we see history lost – but it’s also in our nature to rebuild for tomorrow, as strong as we can.”

While Michelle Obama tweeted, “The majesty of Notre Dame—the history, artistry, and spirituality—took our breath away, lifting us to a higher understanding of who we are and who we can be. Being here in Paris tonight, my heart aches with the people of France. Yet I know that Notre Dame will soon awe us again.”
