No Sex/Abuses, But Raw Action In Vishwaroopam 2 Divides Censor Board
Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam 2 awaits certification for the Hindi version. However, the gory action sequences in the project seem to have divided the Censor Board...
After the success of Vishwaroopam (2013), fans are
eagerly awaiting the release of the second instalment. On Tuesday night,
Team Vishwaroopam 2 held a screening for CBFC officials to get the Hindi
version of the Kamal Haasan-starrer certified. The Tamil version of the film
has received a U/A certificate.

While Haasan was expecting the matter to come to a close
and a certificate be granted, unfortunately, it will be time before that
happens. Reason? The lack of consensus amongst CBFC
officials.
Says a source, “Post the screening, the officials
suggested 15 cuts owing to gory action sequences in the film. They are of the
opinion that they might be too disturbing for the audience.”

Adds the source, “The board was further divided on the
certification – while some said that the spy-thriller be granted a A
certificate with cuts, others argued that the film be given a U/A.”
With the debate surrounding the cuts and certification,
SpotboyE.com now has it that CBFC Chief, Prasoon Joshi, will take a call on the
matter. Joshi will watch the film in a few days.

Interestingly, the CBFC Chief has penned the lyrics of
the film.
We sent a text to his publicist yesterday and requested
for a revert, but got no response till the time of going
online.
